Margie and Amanda Smoak are a mother/daughter writing team. As the wife and daughter of an Air Force General, they have lived a nomadic lifestyle, moving 13 times to 9 different states. During an overseas tour in Belgium, Margie became involved in the rescue of Romanian orphans. After teaching seminars at the American Embassy, she was credited on Belgian television as being responsible for the successful rescue and adoption of several Romanian babies. Margie is currently teaching Special Education in the Washington D.C. area. After a brief stint as a swimsuit model and calendar girl during college, Amanda met and married an Air Force pilot. They are currently stationed in Shreveport, Louisiana. Despite the geographical distance, mother and daughter are in daily contact and receive lovely thank you letters from their long distance telephone carriers. Generals’ Row is their first novel.
